The issues raised by this appeal require us to construe and apply for the first time subsection (b) (5) of K.S.A. 1973 Supp. 60-308, which provides for the exercise of in personam jurisdiction over any person who enters into a contract with a resident of this state to be performed in whole or in part by either party in this state.
